Said Halim Paşa Yalısı Mansion Istanbul Bosphorus

The Said Halim Paşa Yalısı is a beautiful 19th century Ottoman mansion located in Sarıyer, on the European Side of the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul.

Before the architecture you see today, an earlier building previously existed in the same area belonging to the Düzoğulları family. This was subsequently demolished and the current mansion was built in its place in 1863 by the Aristarchis Family.

Later, in 1876, the mansion passed into the ownership of Prince Abdulhalim Pasha. When he died, Said Halim Pasha, one of his heirs, became the owner of the mansion.

Said Halim Pasha, who served as the grand vizier between 1913 and 1917, was a part of the Ottoman Empire together with Germany. He signed the treaty with which he entered World War II.

In the 1960s, the mansion was used as a casino. It was later transferred to the Hilton Hotel and underwent a comprehensive restoration in 1980.

It still serves as the property of Yeniköy Turizm Yatirimlari AS.

It is one of the most beautiful mansions of the Bosphorus and is used today as an elegant venue for large scale events and weddings in Istanbul.

It has capacity for 800 guests seated and 1600 guests cocktail style set over 4500 m2 of space including the mansion, surrounding gardens and outdoor patios.
